Family Studies Initiative
Working within the Center for Applied Psychological Science at Boise State University, the Family Studies Initiative represents the collaboration of scientists from diverse disciplines working together with community leaders dedicated to improving the lives of children and the well-being of families throughout Idaho. The broad goals of the Family Studies Initiative include providing an interdisciplinary culture for research on different aspects of families as well as using research findings and perspectives to contribute to quality teaching and educational opportunities and to meaningful collaborations with community leaders and agencies. The Initiative operates to ensure that family research plays a central role in the teaching, research, and service contributions of Boise State University. Currently, more specific emphasis areas for the Initiative include the following:
